Things I learned today (part 1)
May. 6th, 2004 05:05 pm1. Even after five hours sleep, and two hours on the train, there's still an adrenalin rush when you receive the keys to your own place for the first time. I staggered around, slightly dazed, after the tenancy agent left, wishing I had somewhere other than the loo to sit down.
2. A town library will let you join, even with just a tenancy agreement as evidence of residence.
3. I have the same job spec. as an assistant manager. Useful to know for those future sideways career moves back to the shop I started in, in two years time, perhaps?
4. You can buy a pocket calculator that looks and sounds like a mobile phone for £1. Useful to know for any current and future leaving do preparations to be made...
