That was terrific. Lovely acting from Naoko Mori and Anthony Lewis, unflashy direction content to let the story unfold, and - best of all - Edwardian Torchwood! Can we have a Harriet & Gerald spin-off, now, please?

Definitely one of the better ones. The only fly in the ointment for me was that Tommy looked so much like a young Steve Coogan that it took me three quarters of the episode to start seeing the character without an overlay of Alan Partridge.

I also thought 'spin off' as soon as we saw Harriet and Gerald - who were so obviously Torchwood as soon as we saw them that Gerald's declaiming their identity to Tommy didn't quite have the force that was intended, I think.
