Notice that it's Steven, not Russell (widely suspected of being on OG in disguise - fingers are occasionally pointed.) Time to quote the following from Behind the Sofa:

The Bumper Book of Made-Up Doctor Who Facts has this to say about all the above: RTD now firmly believes himself to be the Doctor, and is insisting on being called as such. Steven Moffat is on 24 hour stand-by, should what we all hope and pray for happen, and Russell is put out of his misery. Anyone own a gun? Preferrably the same that the Master was shot with, to see if he realises the irony.
