Well, it was fine, had some wonderfully powerful ideas and images in it (the circle of angels round the TARDIS will probably linger for a while), the acting was good (young Billy Shipton apart). But. I couldn't get a handle on Sally's motivation to go to the house in the first place, I was occasionally distracted by how under-populated the story was. The imposing police station is staffed by two, one going off-duty; there's an abandoned hospital ward - in 2007!!? Hull 1920 is an empty field; 1969 appears to be a back alley somewhere.
Ingenious, witty, well-directed, very "Torchwood" in feel (perhaps the Angels will turn up in Cardiff next year). Not, however, as good as the other highs in season three, and not quite up there with Mr Moffat's previous episodes.
