The Lazarus Experiment
May. 5th, 2007 07:55 pmI really liked it - Freema in particular really sparkled, but praise to is due to Messrs. Gatiss, Tennant and director Richard Clark for some compelling mano a mano confrontation scenes. Sad fan that I am, when the Doctor quoted Eliot my first reaction wasn't "Oh yes, 'The Hollow Men'" but "Daniel O'Mahony's New Adventure".
Was there a bit of Kurt Vonnegut's life in Lazarus' backstory? Regardless, Mark Gatiss really delivered that speech with conviction. And any story with a "Spinal Tap" allusion is, definitely, a good thing in my book.
