In Between Days
Apr. 15th, 2004 07:18 pmSo, lots of interesting things have happened since my last entry, but there are some more interesting things to come.
I went to a terrific concert last Friday - Glenn Tilbrook, who now performs his Squeeze back catalogue better than he did when I saw him with the original band ten years ago.
Saturday was a day trip to look for accommodation (depressing) and to look at my new shop (very exciting).
The new regime in my current workplace began on Tuesday. NP is nice and pleasant and OK, but also a bit distant and, fairly obviously, still getting her head around her new position. She's going to be off on a course for "New Managers" in the near future, apparently.
I'll be travelling to look at more places to live this Saturday, and I'm hoping that at least two of the three on the market will be a) in a nice part of town and b) look as good on the inside as their exterior photo does on the letting agency website.
Because of the Easter holiday, I still haven't had my formal offer letter yet - that should arrive tomorrow.
Anything else?
I enjoyed "Shaun of the Dead" last Monday, and didn't mind the deus ex machina ending too much.
I've also been renting archive TV series on DVD courtesy of lovefilm.com : I'm currently working my way through series one of "Secret Army", which I was far too young to stay up for in 1977.
