*Cracking performances from the leads - Freema's sassiness and ebullience didn't seem forced, and David Tennant's playing of the Doctor's residual melancholy at losing Rose has calmed down the rest of his performance. (I loved his wistful, wordless scene as he looks out at the Moon from the verandah.) Together, I thought their TARDIS scene at the end was note perfect.

*Freema's comedy Dad and girlfriend - no thanks.

Agree with you about the TARDIS scene... and too many comedy performances altogether, though on reflection Martha's Dad and Annalise are the weak point in the family. Reggie Yates (surprisingly), Adjoa Andoh (no nonsense) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (sexier than Freema, though not in the girlier outfit she wears in the party scene) all gave great performances and I look forward to their next appearances.
