Home Entertainment, Part 2
Feb. 13th, 2004 08:28 pmWell, the Multi-region hack worked, but the Macrovision one didn't - but for some reason the Macrovision picture flashing only tripped in on some of the DVDs that I've tested. All the BBC DVDs, Network's "A Very Peculiar Practice" and BMG's "Our Friends in the North" played back fine, as did some of my Region 1 disks - "Citizen Kane", "This is Spinal Tap", "Charade" and, most surprisingly, my last purchase, "The West Wing".
The player is here to stay, and I'll be investigating other ways round Macrovision over the weekend - in between watching episodes of AVPP.
