Feb. 13th, 2004 12:18 pmSo, having bought a Freeview box from Argos, and been very impressed with the picture quality it gives on my vintage Phillips TVCR combi, I've decided to buy a DVD player for my bedroom. This isn't as hedonistic as it sounds - the model I've bought costs £59.99, which is what I usually spend on myself on a cinema trip to London.
I've done a little bit of research, and I'm optimistic that the Macrovision and Multi-region handset hacks work - I won't find out for certain until I take it home tonight and connect it up. The inaugural DVDs will be "Sports Night" and "A Very Peculiar Practice", and if it all works properly, I'll be able to record them onto VHS...
