gervase_fenSorting out the gas bill, electric bill, waste water, fresh water, council tax, broadband, post redirection. Setting up direct debits and cancelling existing subscriptions. Learning the ins and outs of the assisted service till (sorry, still baffling), a warehouse tailgate lift and deliveries twice the size and with far earlier delivery slots than I'm used to. Trying to pay in a cheque for removal services that bounces back because it is missing sixty six pence. Waiting on one hundred and four cardboard boxes as a result.
Still to come. Dismantling a metal bed frame, packing it, then putting it back together having carried it up three flights of stairs. Plugging in a Virgin Media box and trusting that it works straight away.
Keeping Mrs Fen on an even keel as she tries to do three things at once home alone half the time. Finding out about Dad's memory lapses in more detail.
This week is apparently the twentieth anniversary of my first ever blog entry. What a time to be alive.
