Better late than never, a re-cap of a relaxing afternoon spent in parrot knight's company.

First thing to say is how nice the food is at his works canteen (which I'll call the Fell Press for lj purposes). Tomato and basil risotto is the sort of thing I really should be cooking for myself, to be honest.

There's a fascinating museum tucked way in the inner sanctums of the Fell Press, and I was intrigued by the former occupants of the Fell Press Bookshop on the High. A milliner, a fruiterer, a gentleman...

I'm always happy when I come away from a trip knowing more than I did before I left home, and parrot knight's recent research into the 1960s production files of a certain TV show seem to be throwing up some tantalising possibilities as to who did what in creating one of the best things of its kind.

It was also good to see penny for the first time in four years, although I promise next time to talk about children's TV post 1977. Or what I can remember of it, anyway.
