My TVCR/DVD combo is now completely de-macrovisioned, courtesy of a Smartlead Scart connector (£32.99)!
I took a leap of faith buying this, based on recommendations in DVD forums : I ordered it three weeks ago from an online company and had started to assume that I'd been stung. (I paid via Worldpay, so I had some guarantee of a refund).
Well, it arrived this morning, and it works, so I can now watch my entire multi-region DVD backlist without getting a migraine.

Fired up by my extra-mural intranet activities last week, I gatecrashed the Headline rep's appointment and asked for review copies of forthcoming CDs and tapes - which she was really, really happy to promise to me. "I never know what to do with them anyway!"
Next up was the Macmillan rep, who gave me an e-mail contact at MacHQ - and now I'm on their publicity mailing list, and have an 'in' to request review copies.
