37 and a day
Mar. 14th, 2007 12:20 amNo cake for me yesterday, but I was given assorted kitchen utensils and an oven glove so I can bake one for myself....
Went for a haircut today, didn't spot any grey hairs creeping up in the mirror.
I've got eleven days left off from work, so I'm trying to catch up on some of the proofs I've been amassing (including the new Sebastian Faulks, which I acquired on Saturday evening.) The new Harry Bosch, "The Overlook", is an extended novella, and reads a bit like "24" without the torture or the right wing politics. Full marks to Michael Connelly for working in a completely relevant allusion to the Litvinenko murder.
My long-term plans are a bit fluid ; this Saturday I'm entertaining Penny, and then either Sunday or the following weekend I'll be visiting Joe, Keri, Jacob and Evie. I'm waiting on an e-mail from virgin media to see if the cable outlet in the flat is compatible with their services (according to their own website, it should be) and, if so, hope to have some sort of digital TV installed before the end of the month. Or, more pertinently, the 31st of March.
